The Clinton Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited (CVTU) is a local conservation organization that supports efforts to preserve and protect the Clinton River watershed as well as other cold water fisheries in the state. As a member of Trout Unlimited National our chapter also supports efforts on a national level.

In the 80’s and 90’s the Clinton Valley Chapter lead a project that with the help of the DNR and other state and local groups spent 10s of thousands of dollars on the Paint Creek in the Clinton River watershed. These funds created new trout habitat, as well as creating several new miles of stream suitable for trout with the use of a bottom draw at Lake Orion. The bottom draw was a unique project that has since been used elsewhere in the country. The CVTU also serves as an educational resource for the area by supporting and participating in community events where instruction on fly fishing, fly tying and general conservation are provided.

The Clinton Valley Chapter’s annual banquet for conservation is our major fund raising activity for the year. The raffle funds raised at the banquet are critical to our efforts to support local and state conservation efforts. Without these funds our efforts to support conservation and the community would be severely inhibited. This year our banquet is scheduled for April 3rd at the River Crest Banquet facility in Rochester Hills on the banks of the Clinton River.

Please help support our cause and conservation of our local and state waterways by donating merchandise, product or services.  Donors will be recognized in our banquet program, news letter and on our web site.

CVTU thanks you in advance for your support!!
